Support Pricing:

Every B & I Software Package comes free with a 1 year Support Package (annual support) that includes 1 year of support and 1 year of updates from the initial purchase date. The cost for annual support after the first year is outlined in the Support Package/Year column in the table above. As long as a user is current with their support payments, they will continue to receive unlimited support and free updates as they are released. If a user allows their support to expire, there are 2 options if they want support of any kind including updates:

1) they can pay the total outstanding support owed from the date their support expired to the next anniversary of their purchase date. If more than 1 year has passed since the support expired, there is a 20% discount off the total support bill.

For example: if support for the Childcare Sage LC expired on 1/15/2008, and it is now 8/15/2009, the total support bill would be $128 to extend support to 1/15/2010 (this amount includes 20% off of 2 years of support; 1/15/2008 to 1/15/2009 and 1/15/2009 to 1/15/2010 at $80 per year.)

2) they can pay the annual support package cost for their software to receive 4 months of the support package from the current date.

For example: if support for the Childcare Sage LC expired on 1/15/2007, and it is now 8/15/2009, the total support bill would be $80 for support from 8/15/2009-12/15/2009. Paying this way means you are paying the annual support charge for 4 months of support, but you don't have to stay current with your support.)

Support prices for central software packages used over a network at multiple locations (offices or centers) are based on the number of locations and are determined on a case-by-case basis.

 

Upgrade Pricing:

The cost to upgrade between versions of our software is simply the difference in the discounted internet price between the versions at the time that you originally purchased our software, as long as your support package payments are current.

For example: if you purchased the Childcare Sage SC on 1/15/2008 for $195, renewed the support package on 1/13/2009, and it is now 10/15/2009 and you want to upgrade to the Childcare Sage LC, you would only pay $200, which was the difference in the internet price between the packages on 1/15/2008, even though the current difference in the internet price on 10/15/2009 between the Childcare Sage SC and LC is $300.

CHILDCARE Sage FC -> CHILDCARE Sage SC -> CHILDCARE Sage MC -> CHILDCARE Sage LC

CONTACT Sage -> CONTACT Sage Pro

 

Packages Ordered Together but used separately:

If more than 1 package is ordered in a single purchase, there is a 20% discount for each package in the order.

(The Central Version of the Childcare Sage and Contact Sage Pro for Administrators and Managers is included free of charge if you purchase more than 1 corresponding stand-alone package for the same company.)

 

Data Conversions:

These are average costs for conversions that we have done for our users. We will always quote you a fixed price for the data conversion before work begins.

(Keep in mind that data conversions can be very labor intensive.)

These are average costs for custom Childcare Sage Rate calculators that we have built for our users. We will always quote you a fixed price for the rate calculator before work begins. The prices are based on the number and complexity of the different billing variations and rules.
